Ondo Group Mourns the Passing of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and Extols his Courageous Leadership
A human right group, Ondo Redemption has mourned the passage of the immediate former Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, describing him as a courageous leader.
The group in a statement jointly signed by its Chairman, Ologun Ayodeji and General Secretary, Olufemi Lawson, notes that the demise of Governor Akeredolu is not only a loss for the state but for the entire nation.
The statement reads “the Ondo Redemption Front (ORF) expresses profound grief and sorrow over the demise of the astute and fearless leader, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State.
“The unfortunate passing of late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu is not just a loss for the people of Ondo but for the entire nation. Governor Akeredolu’s legacy as a dedicated public servant and visionary leader will forever be etched in the hearts of those who benefited from his unwavering commitment to the betterment of Ondo State.
“Governor Akeredolu’s tenure was marked by his courageous stance on critical issues, fearless pursuit of justice, and a relentless commitment to the welfare of the people. His leadership style, characterized by resilience and a passion for development, has left an indelible mark on the political landscape of Ondo State.
“In mourning the late Governor, the Ondo Redemption Front reflects on his numerous achievements, including but not limited to infrastructural intervention, and most importantly his unyielding commitment to security, particulalrly whenever the history of the Southwest Security Network, Amotekun, is being told. Governor Akeredolu’s legacy goes beyond the tangible projects; it encapsulates a spirit of courage, tenacity, and service to the people.
“As we bid farewell to a leader who dedicated his life to the service of his people, we call on the citizens of Ondo State to unite in honoring his memory and continuing the work he began. In the spirit of continuity and progress, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the newly sworn-in Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
