Abubakar Ali Damina, a suspected notorious kidnapper, known for terrorizing the people of Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area, has been apprehended.
The 43-year-old was captured during a joint security operation at Ofodo village near Igabada in Kogi State.
Found in possession of a single-barreled Dane gun and various suspicious items including charms, a gun firing cap, and local bullets, Damina, reportedly from Bida in Niger State, confessed his involvement in criminal activities in Kogi State during interrogation.
Mohammed Aminu, speaking on behalf of the council boss, Barr. Cosmos Atabor, confirmed the arrest, stating that Damina is currently held at the Kogi State Vigilante Service facility in Igalamela-Odolu and will be transferred to the appropriate authority soon.
