In Ibadan, accreditation and voting have started at various polling units for the local government election organized by the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) across the 33 local government areas.
Although there have been reports of delayed material arrival in some polling units, our correspondent visited several areas, including Ido, Ibadan North, and Ibadan North East local government areas.
At Polling Unit 1, Ward 11 in Ibadan North East Local Government, accreditation and voting have already begun. An electoral officer confirmed the commencement of the process at 8:30 am, with active participation from voters.
“The voting process started at 8:30 am here at Ward 11, Unit 1 in Ibadan North East local government area. Voters have been steadily arriving to cast their votes,” stated the officer.
