Men disguised in military uniforms have apprehended Ambassador Sobomabo Jackrich, the National Rescue Movement candidate in the 2023 elections in Rivers State. He was taken from his residence in Usokun, Degema Local Government Area, on Monday morning and transported to an undisclosed location.
According to George Zua, an aide to Ambassador Jackrich, the operation was executed in a commando style, resulting in the deaths of two aides of the NRM candidate, Diamond Tamunoiminabo and Sincere Jackrich, whose bodies were taken by the assailants.
However, the Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command stated that Jackrich was apprehended by other security agencies, as of the time of the press release.
