Former Kwara State Deputy Governor, Peter Kisira, Passes Away at 74

Former Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Peter Kisira, has passed away at the age of 74, as confirmed by the state government in a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye. Kisira reportedly died in the early hours of Saturday.

He served as the deputy to the immediate past governor of the state, Alhaji Abdulfattah Ahmed, from May 29, 2011, to May 29, 2019.

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, expressed sadness over Kisira’s death and extended his condolences to the people of Baruten and the family of the deceased. He encouraged them to find solace in Kisira’s admirable legacy as a public servant and bureaucrat, who rose to the rank of permanent secretary in the state’s civil service.

Governor AbdulRazaq praised Kisira for his commendable public service and dedication to noble causes, stating that he will be fondly remembered for his contributions to the state.
