A viral video has surfaced showing the dramatic arrest of a young man who was found hiding in the ceiling of an FCMB branch after a botched overnight robbery attempt.

Eyewitnesses say the suspect had entered the bank during normal business hours, discreetly locked himself inside the restroom, and later climbed into the ceiling, intending to remain there unnoticed until nightfall.

His plan unravelled the next morning when bank staff, arriving for work, found the entrance suspiciously locked from within. Upon forcing their way in, they reportedly heard noises coming from the ceiling.

Security operatives were immediately alerted and succeeded in pulling the suspect down. He was reportedly caught trying to access the bank’s systems.

Footage of the arrest, which has since gone viral, shows the suspect being dragged from the ceiling, beaten, and restrained with ropes by security personnel and bystanders.

As of the time of filing this report, FCMB has not released an official statement regarding the incident.
