Alara Felicitates Customs CG, Adeniyi on Election as WCO Chairman
The Alara of Ara Kingdom, HRM Oba Dr Olubayo Adesola Windapo, Abidogun 1, has rejoiced with the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Alhaji Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, on his election as Chairman of the World Customs Organization (WCO).
Kabiyesi notes that the Customs CG’s election to head the WCO Council, comprising heads of 186 Customs administrations globally and the organisation’s highest decision-making body, indicates that he is a man of high repute with global acceptance.
Kabiyesi in a statement personally signed by him further stated that the Customs CG has brought pride, not only to Nigeria but even to Ara, being the Aare Parakoyi-elect of Ara Kingdom.
“I wish to rejoice with the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Alhaji Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, on his election as Chairman of the World Customs Organization.
“His election to head the WCO council is an indication that he is a man of high repute with global acceptance.
“Alhaji Adeniyi has brought pride to Nigeria but more particularly to Ara, being our Aare Parakoyi-elect. That title simply matches the new feat that he has achieved.
“I rejoice with him on behalf of the entire people of Ara Kingdom and I assure him that our prayers are with him and he count on us for support as always”, the monarch noted.
