Final-Year Female Student In Ondo University Found Hanging Dead After Attending Church Vigil

Ayandare, a 500-level student in the Department of Agronomy, was found hanging beside a church she attended.

Modupe Ayandare, a final-year student at the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, was discovered dead off-campus on Monday.

The Public Relations Officer of the Students Union Government, Olaogbebikan Noble, confirmed the incident and stated that efforts are ongoing to uncover the cause of her death.



In a statement, the Students Union expressed profound sorrow and dissatisfaction over Ayandare’s death, noting she allegedly took her own life around 4am after a vigil service at the church near Spotless Villa.



The students union said the authorities had been notified, and a thorough investigation was promised to ensure justice.



The union urged anyone with information to come forward.

The State police spokesperson, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, also confirmed the incident, stating that the police were actively investigating.
