Terrorist Attack Claims 12 Lives, Leaves 20 Injured in Kaduna

A tragic incident unfolded on Wednesday in Maro Ward, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, as terrorists reportedly killed 12 individuals.

Twenty others sustained injuries of varying severity and were rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.

Former local government chairman, Cafra Caino, confirmed the harrowing assault to DAILY POST, recounting how the assailants launched their attack at approximately 3 pm, indiscriminately firing upon the market.

Caino expressed sorrow over the second assault on the weekly market, which not only disrupted business operations but also instilled fear among residents, prompting them to seek safety in neighboring villages.

He emphasized the detrimental impact of the attack on local farming activities.

Despite attempts to reach out, State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, remained unreachable for comment, leaving the incident yet to be officially confirmed.
