Police Apprehend Eight Suspects Ekiti varsity cultist

According to Sunday Abutu, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Ekiti State Command, the arrest occurred following a distress call received by the Rapid Response Squad.

Abutu, speaking on behalf of the state police commissioner, Mr. Adeniran Akinwale, stated that the intervention was prompted by reports of suspected members of the Buccaneer Confraternity Alora Sea Lord cult group causing disturbances on the university campus.

The RRS swiftly responded to the sc ene, leading to the arrest of the eight suspectsy identified as: Onifade Akinsola, Olatunde David, Omoboyowa Olabode, Daniel Oluwagbenga, Adeleke Tolani, Andrew Ochuko, Bamiduro Olawale, and Adelakun Omoniyi.During the operation, some of the fleeing suspects fired gunshots at the RRS operatives, damaging the windscreen of the Armoured Personnel Carrier.

Efforts are underway to apprehend the fleeing suspects and recover any weapons in their possession.Recovered exhibits from the arrested individuals include two yellow fez caps adorned with the Buccaneer Confraternity Alora Sea Lord cult logo, along with an inscription reading “Santa Barbara Love Victory and Perfection.”

This arrest comes in the wake of recent violence involving cult activities, including the tragic killing of two students from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, outside the university premises.

The state police command had previously reported the arrest of suspects linked to the incident, with ongoing investigations into the matter.
