Kaduna State University Grants Exam Access Despite Outstanding Fees for Students Facing Financial Hardships

In a move to ease the burden of financial challenges on students, Kaduna State University has announced that students with outstanding school fees will be allowed to sit exams for the 2023/2024 academic session. This decision, communicated by the university’s management in a statement on Thursday, comes under the directive of Governor Uba Sani.

According to the statement, both new and returning students for the 2023/2024 academic session are now eligible to participate in forthcoming examinations regardless of their fee payment status. This initiative, as highlighted in the statement, reflects Governor Uba Sani’s proactive approach to addressing the economic challenges faced by students.

The statement also noted that the university’s Bursar’s office is available for further information and inquiries regarding the temporary clearance policy. It reiterated that payment channels for students wishing to settle their fees remain unchanged.

In related news from 2023, the Kaduna State governor announced a reduction in fees payable in state-owned tertiary institutions. This decision was made in response to the general rise in the cost of living, following the subsidy removal by President Bola Tinubu on May 29, 2023.
