Nasarawa: Students, staff stranded as rainstorm destroys GSSS Takalafia

A severe rainstorm on Wednesday evening wreaked havoc on Government Senior Secondary School, Takalafia, located in the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

The destructive force of the storm also extended to other facilities within the school premises.

As a result of the calamity, both staff and students found themselves stranded on Thursday as school resumed, as reported by a community leader.

In response, Comrade Sunday Soko of the Takalafia Students Union (TASU) issued a statement urging government authorities and charitable individuals or organizations to step in and provide assistance to alleviate the school’s plight caused by the aftermath of the rainstorm.
