Gbolahan Oyedemi, a Deputy Commissioner of Police stationed at the Force Criminal Investigation Department in Alagbon, Lagos State, reportedly took his own life on Monday at his residence in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. Oyedemi previously served as the Aide de Camp to the late former Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala during his brief tenure in 2006. According to a source close to the family in Ibadan, Oyedemi, who typically visited his hometown for Easter, instructed his aides to spend the holiday with their own families. His body was discovered hanging in his house on Monday, raising questions about the circumstances leading to his tragic decision. Efforts to reach the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, for comment were unsuccessful. More details to follow.
