• Hails Lekki LCDA Boss

The Director, Global Affairs and Sustainable Development Institute (GASDI), Osun State University, Professor John Agbonifo has called on government at all level to join hands with the private sector to promote sustainable development in Nigeria.
The University Don stated this at the backdrop of a two days field trip embarked on by post-graduate students of the Institute to Lekki Deep Sea Port and Tolaram Group, Lekki, Lagos.
Professor Agbonifo also commended the Executive Chairman, Lekki Local Council Development Area, Hon. Rasaki Kasali, for taking bold steps in ensuring that the his administration is taking care of the need of the people and the communities under the Lekki LCDA in terms of sustainable development and benefit from companies in the LCDA in terms of environmental protection and Corporate Social Responsibility.
He then called on other political officer holders to emulate Lekki LCDA Boss in ensuring that all actions and policies they are taking aligns with Sustainable Development Goals while calling on them to partner with GASDI in achieving the goals.
“Government across board must be ready to collaborate with the private sector as well as institutes like ours (GASDI) in ensuring that Nigeria achieves Sustainable Development.
“That’s why I want to commend Lekki LCDA Chairman, Hon. Rasaki Kasali for the steps he is taking in his local government and even in how he is ensuring that companies in his local government are taking steps to protect the environment and implement Corporate Social Responsibility programs for the benefit of his people.
“So, I want to call on other political officer holders to emulate this and ensuring that all steps, actions and policies that will be taken aligns with the sustainable development goals.
“To ensure this, GASDI is ready to partner with everyone and organization that is willing and ready to collaborate in other to achieve these goals”, He said.
