Cross River State Governor Rewards Super Eagles Star Terem Moffi with N10m for Africa Cup of Nations Silverware

The Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Otu, has presented a generous gift of N10m to Super Eagles forward, Terem Moffi, for his outstanding performance in the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

The award ceremony took place on Thursday night in Calabar, where Moffi was accompanied by his father and younger brother. The Governor praised the player for being a great ambassador of Cross River State and for setting an exemplary example for young people in the state.

Otu also expressed his pride at Moffi’s representation of the state and his commitment to supporting youth and sports development. The Governor emphasized that his administration is dedicated to creating opportunities for young talents in the state to flourish.

Before receiving the gift, Moffi had already donated N1m to Pelican Stars FC and 25 balls each to the team and Calabar Rovers. The Super Eagles player currently plays for Nice of France and has been invited for the Eagles’ World Cup qualifying matches with South Africa and Benin Republic in June.

The Governor’s recognition of Moffi’s achievements is a testament to his dedication to his craft and his representation of the state. The gift is also a demonstration of Otu’s commitment to supporting young talents and promoting sports development in Cross River State.
