Former Lagos governor, Ambode, Okocha visit Super Eagles camp in Ivory Coast

Former governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, and the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau, paid a visit to the Super Eagles camp in Ivory Coast to offer words of encouragement ahead of their upcoming match in the AFCON 2023 tournament.

Super Eagles legend Austin Jay Jay Okocha was also in the camp to motivate the players.

The visit, captured in a video shared on social media on Thursday, January 18, showcased Ambode expressing support and well-wishes for the Nigerian team.

In the footage, he stated, “We just want to wish you well and just make sure that at least we still have that great support for everyone irrespective of the outcome, we are happy to be Nigerians, and we will be Nigerians but the greatest hope is that we just wish we are able to beat the host tomorrow right, well done.”

The Super Eagles are billed to play lock horns with their Ivorian counterparts in a crucial match in the ongoing AFCON 2023 tournament later today.
