Victor Osimhen scored a hat trick in Nigeria’s Super Eagles 6-0 defeat of Sao Tome and Principe on Sunday evening in Uyo to top Group A of the AFCON 2023 qualifying round.
Ademola Lookman, Taiwo Awoniyi and Samuel Chukwueze scored the three other goals as the three-time African champions booked their ticket to the continental showpiece scheduled to take place in Cote d’Ivoire January next year.
