Ondo APC group wants transparent gov primary

The G30 Group, a political faction within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, is optimistic about the upcoming party primary, expressing confidence that it will proceed smoothly without interference from the national leadership. Scheduled for April 20, the primary will involve all 16 aspirants who underwent screening in Abuja.

Addressing the screening process in Oba Ile, Akure North Local Government Area, Dr. Tola Awosika, the convener of the G30 Group, emphasized the belief that President Bola Tinubu and the national leadership would uphold transparency and democracy in the primary. Awosika highlighted Tinubu’s history as a staunch advocate for fair elections, drawing parallels with his past struggles for party nominations.

Asserting their support for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, one of the aspirants, the G30 Group praised his potential to make a significant impact on the state within a four-year tenure. They lauded Aiyedatiwa’s leadership qualities and vision for the state’s development, expressing confidence in his ability to lead effectively.
