Plans by the State Secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Osun state, Hon. kamorudeen Alao, to buy votes in the general elections on Saturday has been uncovered.
In a secret memo to top leaders of the party obtained by Affairs TV News, Alao directed them to collate names and account numbers of voters for eventual transfers ahead of Saturday.
The memo reads “Kindly inform all the Local government Party Chairmen in conjunction with the Council Chairmen, Councillors and other Stakeholders to make sure that our party members and sympathisers are registered down with their phone numbers and account details polling booth by polling booth as a matter of urgency in between now and tomorrow.
“Those lists should be submitted to my office at the State Party Secretariat latest by tomorrow Thursday 23rd of February 2023 by the Local Government Party Chairmen”.
Further investigation revealed that as at this morning, collation of the requested list is ongoing at the APC State Secretariat in Osogbo, the Osun state capital.
A source within the party revealed that the list is being submitted and collation is ongoing adding that transfer of funds are to start later today.
The source added that Hon. Alao is coordinating this plan with two other top officials of the party.
