Seyi Tinubu absolved of influencing NANS elections

Youth Wing, Christian Association of Nigeria(YOWICAN), has absolved Seyi Tinubu of influencing the outcome of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), election and the kidnapping of Atiku Isah.

YOWICAN National Chairman, Belusochukwu Enwere, in a statement yesterday, said such accusations undermine the efforts of the government to address security challenges in the country.

The NANS convention produced Olushola Oladoja as the National President of the association, which Isah accused Tinubu of influencing it.

But Enwere demanded an unreserved apologies from Isah to Tinubu for wrongfully accusing him of breaking the law, adding that despite being the son of the President, Tinubu “is a law-abiding citizen of Nigeria.”

He, also, called on the security agencies to prevail in the situation by arresting Isah for unwarranted allegations of kidnap and violence on Seyi Tinubu.

Enwere also called on political actors to engage in constructive dialogue and avoid spreading misinformation that could destabilize the nation.

“At a time when the government is making concerted efforts to combat insecurity, it is disheartening to see individuals propagate falsehoods for political gain.

“We must unite to support initiatives aimed at restoring peace and stability”, he added.
