Kebbi State Governor Dr Nasir Idris has praised his first wife, Hajia Zainab Nasir Idris, for her divine wisdom and humanitarian efforts.
He says these helped him succeed in politics. He spoke at the 3rd anniversary and launch of the Support Fund for Nasara Women Development Foundation, started by Hajia Zainab.
Governor Idris surprised the crowd by crediting his wife’s foresight for his political wins. “I remember that when I was fully occupied by the Nigerian workers union activities as the Acting President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and my philanthropic gestures at different communities in the state, Hajiya Nasare has gone far beyond my imagination in the execution of her humanitarian programmes. These, her activities, thereby creating synergy for me with my personal efforts,” he said.
He added that Allah destined his success. He built on the Nasara Foundation’s work and his own generosity to win the governorship election. Hajia Zainab thanked Allah for her husband’s patience with her travels and his endless support.
She also thanked groups like Tulsi Chanrai Foundation, UFUK Dialogue, Tulip International School, and the United States Embassy in Nigeria. They’re planning many projects with her foundation. She urged her team to keep working hard for the foundation’s goals.
