JAMB extends registration deadline for direct entry

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the registration for the 2025 Direct Entry (DE) examination beyond the initial deadline of Monday, April 7, 2025.

JAMB confirmed this Sunday in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.

The registration process, which began on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, will continue until a closing date is announced, JAMB added.

The exam body, however, urged candidates who wish to register to do so at any of the Board’s designated Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) on Monday and continuing until the official closing date is revealed.

The extension follows ongoing investigations into candidates suspected of submitting fraudulent A-Level results during registration, it noted.

JAMB also disclosed that it has implemented measures to detect individuals with such credentials.

JAMB also called on candidates who have previously used fraudulent results to voluntarily withdraw, as investigations are being expanded to include students already admitted with such credentials
