NIS Bids Farewell to Former Boss David Shikfu Parradang in Colourful Ceremony

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) held a solemn farewell ceremony for the late former Immigration Boss, David Shikfu Parradang, honouring his legacy of dedication and service.

The event featured a dignified 21-gun salute and gathered colleagues, dignitaries, and well-wishers who came to pay their last respects to a leader remembered for his discipline, wisdom, and commitment to strengthening the NIS.

Parradang, who served as the Comptroller General of Immigration, was recognized for implementing key reforms that improved the efficiency of the service. He dedicated over 30 years to public service, working in various states including Kano, Lagos, Kwara, Enugu, and the Federal Capital Territory. He also pursued professional courses both in Nigeria and abroad.

The current Comptroller General, K.N. Nandap, led the NIS in conducting the ceremony with honour and precision, reflecting the organization’s appreciation for Parradang’s invaluable contributions.

Born on September 6, 1959, in Pankshin, Plateau State, Parradang earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Jos and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Lagos. He was a member of the prestigious National Institute in Kuru and was recognized as an Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR).

Although he has passed on, Parradang’s legacy endures through the foundation he built and the officers he mentored. The NIS has once again demonstrated its commitment to honouring those who serve with distinction.
