In his remarks, Air Vice Marshal Hasan Abubakar, the Chief of Air Staff, paid respect to the retirees, recognising their vital services to the country’s peace and security.

“This training has provided you with the knowledge and skills required to transition seamlessly into civil life as resourceful managers, entrepreneurs, and contributors to national development,” Abubakar stated.

Using the traditional military saying, “Soja come, soja go, but barracks remain,” he commented on the armed forces’ tenacity and the enduring legacy of its people.

“The discipline, fortitude, and dedication that marked your careers will inspire future generations.

“As you transition into civilian life, I urge you to uphold these values and serve as role models and ambassadors for the military profession in your communities,” he continued.

The Air Chief encouraged the retirees to face the new chapter with confidence, assuring them that their training and experiences will ensure a smooth transfer.

Earlier in his remarks, NAFRC Commandant Air Vice Marshal Mamman, emphasised the center’s responsibility in preparing retiring officers for life after duty.

He said NAFRC has trained over 51,000 personnel, providing them with self-reliant and managerial skills to excel in civilian life.

He exhorted the retirees to be optimistic about the future.

“Don’t be afraid of the future. With the discipline and abilities you’ve gained, as well as faith, you’ll have a bright and wealthy future full of long life, good health, and success,” he said.
