Anambra State indigenes in Oyo State, under the aegis of the Anamba State Forum Oyo State, have thrown their weight behind the re-election of Governor Chukwuma Soludo for a second term of office.
Speaking in an interview with Sunday Sun, the President of the association, Chief Nnamdi Obi, said that their support was based on Soludo’s sterling performance since he assumed office.
According to him, the governor has within three years changed the face of Anambra State with legacy projects.
Chief Obi said that it is because of that Anambra State indigenes in Oyo State decided to support his re-election so that the good work he is doing would continue in the state.
“We, the members of Anambra State Forum Oyo State have seen the positive transformation going on in Anambra State and it is based on this premise that all indigenes of Anambra State in Oyo State under the umbrella of Anambra State Forum, Oyo State which comprises of about 135 town unions unanimously endorse the re-election of Governor Chukwuma Soludo for second term of office in appreciation of his sterling performance. We also want to use this medium to express our support to his administration, and to encourage him to continue with his good work,” Obi said.
In his contribution, the Public Relations Officer of the association, Chief Gabriel Onyeoye, said that one good term naturally deserves another.
According to him, going by that, the good people of Anambra State would want the continuation of Soludo’s administration in Anambra State.
He said that the governor is currently building some legacy projects that need to be completed, adding that for that to be possible, Soludo’s mandate should be renewed.
Also contributing, the Acting Secretary Benjamin Aghaulo appealed to the people of Anambra State to rally round the governor and ensure that he is re-elected.
