The police in Kano State have rescued a four year old girl, Nabila, who was abducted in Dakatsalle Village, Bebeji LGA of the state.
Confirming the incident, spokesman of the Command, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa explained that the minor was reported missing on November 22, 2024 by her father , Zilkiflu Abdullahi
He explained that her father received a call from an unknown person demanding a ransom of N3,000,000 a day after the abduction.
“Following the development, a team of Anti-kidnapping Squad, led by SP Aliyu Muhammad Auwal, was raised to rescue the victim and apprehend the suspect” he explained.
“After sustained efforts and intelligence-led operations, the suspect, Saifullahi Abba, aged 23, of Kofar Fada Quarters, Wudil LGA, Kano State, was arrested” he added .
Kiyawa, a Superintendent of Police, disclosed that the suspect was arrested on November 28, 2024 at Luran Village in Dawakin Kudu LGA of the state while adding that he had since confessed to the crime, including leading detectives to where the victim was being held hostage in Luran Village, Dawakin Kudu LGA.
“The victim was rescued unhurt and taken to Murtala Muhammed Specialists Hospital, Kano, where she was examined and discharged in good health” he stated.
“The suspect will be charged to court upon the completion of the investigation” the police spokesman said.
