Ondo Election: 85-year-old voter expresses satisfaction with early arrival of materials

An 85-year-old voter, Joseph Awuyo, has commended the early arrival of voting materials at Unit 3, Post Office, Ward 14, Oba Akoko, in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State during the ongoing governorship election.

Speaking to Vanguard, Pa Awuyo expressed his satisfaction with the promptness of officials, saying, “I am satisfied. The officials arrived early, and we are about to start accreditation and voting.”

He added, “The INEC officials arrived here before 7 a.m., and we only waited for the process to commence. I came out early because of my challenges. I can’t walk well and have issues with my sight, but I have been accredited and have voted. The process was good and smooth.”

Reports indicate that voting materials were delivered to polling units in the area before 7 a.m., ensuring a smooth commencement of accreditation and voting in Akoko South West and Akoko North East Local Government Areas.
