Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Friday, hinted at an imminent cabinet reshuffle, stating that he is reviewing the performance of his cabinet members.
In a live radio interview at the Government House, on Friday, Governor Yusuf disclosed that he has received a report on the performance of his cabinet members and will soon take a decision on those who are underperforming.
The governor emphasised that his close association with the cabinet members over the past year and a half has given him insight into their capabilities, allowing him to make informed decisions about their future in the cabinet.
He also stressed that none of the current commissioners lobbied for their positions but were rather chosen based on their experience, credibility, and advice from consultants.
Governor Yusuf outlined his expectations from the Commissioners, including obedience to himself, the New Nigeria Peoples Party, and the Kwankeasiyya Movement, as well as dedication to duty and the development of the state.
He also highlighted his administration’s commitment to poverty alleviation, women and youth empowerment, and agricultural development.
