Ex-Oyo lawmaker Babatunde Eesuola is dead

A former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Hamid Babatunde Eesuola, is dead.

DAILY POST gathered that Eesuola represented Atiba State Constituency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Our correspondent learned that the deceased was in the process of completing his doctoral programne at the Faculty of Education, University of Ibadan, before his death.

DAILY POST learned that Eesuola, who was also the Chairman of the Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency (OYCSDA), died in Ibadan, the state capital, on Thursday after a brief illness.

The National Vice President of the Alaafin High School Alumni Association, Engineer Seun Adesiji, confirmed Eesuola’s passing.

He added that the deceased was a prominent member of the association.

“Yes, I can confirm that Hon. Eesuola passed on this morning in Ibadan,” he said.

A former caretaker chairman of Surulere North Local Council Development Area, Hon Mohammed Sarafadeen, also confirmed the former lawmaker’s demise.

Sarafadeen, in a post on his Facebook page on Friday, prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest.

“May Almighty Allah forgive your shortcomings and grant you Aljanah. RIP my brother, Hon. Eesuola.”
