FG set to fix federal roads nationwide — Lawmaker

The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on the Federal Road Maintenance Agency, Aderemi Oseni, announced on Monday that the Federal Government, under President Bola Tinubu, is prepared to repair all federal roads across Nigeria as part of the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda to alleviate the suffering of the masses.

Oseni, representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency of Oyo State, disclosed this during his thank-you visit to the state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress at Oke-Ado in Ibadan, the state capital.

The lawmaker, lamenting the deplorable condition of federal roads nationwide, urged Nigerians to be patient with Tinubu and allow him more time to address Nigeria’s challenges.

He stated, “Tinubu is not the cause of the challenges we are currently facing, including bad roads across the nation. These issues extend beyond the current administration. Tinubu is working diligently to resolve the problems created by previous administrations. As part of his Renewed Hope Agenda, he is making concerted efforts to repair all federal roads across Nigeria, easing the suffering of the masses.”

During his visit to the APC secretariat, Oseni expressed his condolences to the party over the passing of its late Chairman, Isaac Omodewu, and extended his gratitude to party members for their support in his election victory.

He encouraged the party to unite in preparation for the 2027 elections, calling on the executive members to devise a strategy to return the party to power.

Oseni also donated N10 million to the party as operational funding.

In response, the acting Chairman of the party, Olayide Abas, thanked Oseni for visiting the party secretariat, expressing pride in his significant efforts to positively impact his constituency.
