The candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) for next month’s Ondo election, Olugbenga Edema has unveiled a seven-point agenda with which he hoped to govern the state. He said he would begin implementation of the agenda immediately after being sworn in in February next year.
Edema who spoke at the weekend listed the agenda to include free education at all levels of education, free health services for all citizens of the state, development of rural communities for optimal results and improved security using modern technology.
He said he would empower women and youths through agriculture, sport-preneurship, creative industry and industrialisation.
The former lawmaker said the NNPP would sustain the successes of the Amotekun Corps by ensuring more funding. He said: “We are departing from a state that does not work to one that works. We are allowing our youths to discover themselves.
“We will develop our own talents. We will produce creative artists. We will develop young people in sports so that they can be useful to society. We are the only party with a manifesto and our seven-point agenda will eradicate poverty.”
