Five Kwara coastal communities get AbdulRazaq’s boats

As part of efforts to safeguard the lives of the citizens against emergencies, the Kwara State Government has presented five modern commercial boats to five communities along the coastal areas of Kaiama Local Government to boost their economic activities.

Recall that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq had recently procured 40 modern boats for the use of coastal communities across the state.

Presenting the boats to the communities of Gwajibo, Dada, Masama, Tunga-Bichi, and Loko-Moshe, all in Adana ward, AbdulRazaq, who was represented by the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Abdullahi Bata disclosed that the primary responsibility of any good government is to make life easier for its citizens.

The Commissioner according to a statement by Oba Azeez, press secretary in the ministry of local government explained that a similar gesture had earlier been extended to Patigi and Edu Local Government areas with the provision of life jackets for safe travels on the waterways.

Also speaking, a member representing Adena/Bani Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, Saidu Baba-Ahmed commended the present administration for identifying with the people of his constituency in the riverine areas through the provision of three modern commercial boats and two fishing boats.
