Teacher defiles 13-year-old girl in Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested Femi Onayemi, a tutor who allegedly defiled a 13-year-old girl in the Obada-Oko area of the state.

According to a police source, Onayemi was hired by the girl’s parents in 2023 to provide private tutoring at their home.

However, on June 9, 2024, the suspect scaled the fence of the house and gained access to the girl’s room, where he committed the heinous crime.

The girl’s parents were shocked to discover what had happened and reported the incident to the police on June 12, 2024.

The police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrest and stated that Onayemi was employed to help the girl with her studies in 2023.

According to Odutola, “After we received the report on June 12, we launched an investigation and apprehended the suspect.

It was discovered that Onayemi had been attending the same church as the survivor every Sunday. He confessed to committing the crime after his arrest.”
