Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central senatorial district, has taken a step towards celebrating Eid-el-Kabir by distributing rams to central mosques across the district.
The senator’s largesse was targeted at the main mosques in each of the five local government areas within her constituency.
In her Eid-el-Kabir message, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan felicitated with Muslims worldwide and encouraged them to use the occasion to promote unity, love, and tolerance.
She also urged them to pray for peace in the country.
The senator noted that Eid-el-Kabir is a sacred holiday that commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son, Ismail (Ishmael).
She emphasized that this act of faithfulness and obedience serves as a powerful reminder of the values of devotion, selflessness, and trust.
In her message, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan expressed her desire to join Muslim faithful in rejoicing on this blessed day.
She urged everyone to imbibe the spirit of unity, compassion, and gratitude, and to promote peace, love, and service to humanity.
