‘It’s a mild misstep,’ Presidential aide on Tinubu’s slip at Eagles square

The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, has spoken out about the President’s brief mishap at the June 12 Democracy Day celebration in Abuja.

In a tweet on Wednesday, Olusegun downplayed the incident, stating that President Tinubu simply missed his step while climbing into a parade vehicle and tripped.

He reassured the public that it was a minor misstep and that the President quickly regained his composure, continuing with the ceremonial proceedings without any issues.

The tweet followed the circulation of videos showing President Tinubu momentarily losing his balance as he stepped into the vehicle. Despite the brief stumble, the President was able to regain his footing and continue with the ceremony without further incident.

The event at Eagles Square was a major part of the nationwide celebrations marking Nigeria’s annual Democracy Day.
