Landlord Dies Following Argument with Tenant in Ogun State

A landlord, Apeh Benjamin, has died after a heated argument with his tenant in Aribabu village, Sotubo, Ogun State.

The confrontation was reportedly sparked by the tenant’s unpaid rent. The tenant, identified only as Emmanuel, allegedly threatened to kill the landlord during the dispute.

The Ogun State police command reported that the landlord collapsed and died around 6:30 am on Sunday.

Command spokesman Omolola Odutola confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of death. She stated, “Apeh Benjamin of Aribabu village, Sotubo, Ogun State, a landlord, slumped and died at about 0630hrs on June 2nd following a heated argument with his tenant Emmanuel, who had threatened to kill him over unpaid rent.

Investigation is ongoing.”
