Kebbi Pilgrim Passes Away in Mecca After Brief Illness

Another pilgrim from Kebbi has passed away following a brief illness in Mecca, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Alhaji Muhammad Suleman, from Argungu Local Government Area, died on Sunday after a short illness.

Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, Executive Chairman of the Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board, confirmed the news in a statement issued to journalists in Mecca on Sunday.

“The deceased passed away on Sunday after a brief illness, and his funeral prayer was held at the Al-Masjid Al-Haram (Ka’aba),” Aliyu-Enabo said. “He was buried according to Islamic rites the same day.

“On behalf of the Kebbi Government, I extend our heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, Kebbi pilgrims, and the entire people of the state. We pray to the Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant his soul, as well as the souls of all departed Muslims, Jannatul Firdaus.”

The chairman urged the family of the deceased to accept the will of God Almighty in good faith, emphasizing that no soul lives beyond its appointed time.

Earlier, the Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board had announced the death of another pilgrim, Tawalkatu Busare Alako, from Jega Local Government Area.
