In response to recent allegations of academic certificate forgery, Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa assured the APC screening committee that his credentials are genuine. He became the first aspirant to be cleared for the governorship primary, despite facing challenges from other party members. Aiyedatiwa emphasized that his certificates are authentic, dismissing the allegations as mischief from rival aspirants. He also clarified the history of his education, linking it to Lateef Jakande’s policies in Lagos State. However, another aspirant, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, challenged Aiyedatiwa’s credibility during the screening, highlighting his own achievements and questioning the governor’s track record. Meanwhile, Aiyedatiwa inaugurated 12 newly appointed commissioners, urging them to serve diligently in their respective roles after their approval by the state House of Assembly.
