Ramadan: Tinubu’s supporters distribute 50,000 food boxes to poor Nigerians

A coalition of youth support groups endorsing President Bola Tinubu has initiated the distribution of 50,000 family food boxes to vulnerable Nigerians nationwide during Ramadan.

This collaborative effort, as stated in a Monday announcement, involves the Minister and Minister of State for Youth, six Senior Special Assistants to the President on Community Engagement, the Executive Vice-Chairman of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, the Director-General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency, youth-focused aides of the President, and selected partners.

Each Family Food Box contains essential dry food items such as rice, semolina, tomato paste, and other supplies to sustain a family for five days.

Over the past three weeks, the distribution to families across Nigeria has been conducted through various community-focused outreach initiatives. This Family Food Box Distribution Initiative is expected to conclude across all geopolitical regions in Nigeria this week. Seyi Tinubu, the patron of the City Boy Movement, expressed gratitude to supporters, volunteers, and partners for their contributions to the program’s success.

He extended appreciation to private sector partners for their donations and acknowledged the volunteers from diverse backgrounds who exemplified the spirit of community and compassion irrespective of creed, tribe, or religion.

The statement concluded with prayers for blessings and rewards for all participants in the program.
