Kogi State Police Commissioner Presents N39 Million Cheques to Families of Deceased Policemen

The Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, Bethrand Onuoha, has disbursed cheques totaling N39,042,593.07 to the families of 25 deceased policemen in the state. According to a statement released by the command’s spokesman, William Aya, the presentation took place on Wednesday.

During the ceremony, the Commissioner of Police emphasized that the gesture was part of the Group Life Assurance and Group Personal Accident Insurance schemes designed to enhance the welfare of families of deceased police officers and to provide support to officers who suffered accidents while on duty. He also highlighted the importance of recognizing the sacrifices made by these officers and encouraging diligence among active service personnel.

“The Nigeria Police Force acknowledges the sacrifices made by the deceased officers and those who have become accident victims in the line of duty,” stated CP Onuoha. He urged the beneficiaries to utilize the funds responsibly for the betterment of their families.

Expressing gratitude, the beneficiaries thanked the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, for the generous gesture and pledged to utilize the funds judiciously for the benefit of their families.
