According to a statement by Sina Adeyeye, press officer at the office of the head of service, the payment is for the gratuities owed by the Olusegun Mimiko-led administration of 2014.

Adeyeye said the distribution of cheques to beneficiaries will be flagged off by the governor at an event to be held at the Cocoa Conference hall of the governor’s office in Alagbaka, Akure on Thursday.
