
…Wins Automatic Federal Government Appointment
An Alumnus of Osun State University, Aladekomo Segun Tobi, of the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences, has received the 2019 President’s NYSC Honours Award, making the list of the best five on the merit list.
By nature of the conferment of the award, Aladekomo won an automatic Federal Government appointment, a mammoth cash prize and a scholarship up to PhD level in any accredited University in Nigeria, as revealed by Federal Government circular.
Reacting to the announcement, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor ‘Ayo Clement Adebooye, stated that this feat is as a result of the character and learning that the institution imbibes in its students, and expressed pride in the national recognition of Aladekomo.
The Vice-Chancellor said “We at Osun State University are very proud of Aladekomo Segun. It is no surprise to us that our alumnus of this great University is being recognized nationally, both in exploit and in character. We train our students to be globally competitive and not to be found wanting both in character and learning. This feat is, no doubt, commendable and must be celebrated. On behalf of Senate, Management, Staff, and Students of the University, I congratulate Aladekomo Segun on this national recognition and honour.”
Born on 1st July, 1992, Aladekomo hails from Ere-Ijesha in Osun State. After graduating with a Bachelor degree(Banking and Finance) from UNIOSUN, he was mobilized for national service and deployed to Abia State. Aladekomo was an invaluable corps member both at the orientation camp and Christ Triumphant Academy, Ihite Lokpanta, Umunaeochi Local Government Area, where he had his primary assignment.
