The Anglican communion has called on the judiciary to ensure it delivers justice on the just concluded presidential election , stressing that the foregoing will lay to rest confusions around the exercise.

His Lordship , the Rt Revd Christian Esezi Ide , Bishop of the Diocese of Warri Anglican communion made the appeal in his Bishop’s Charge at the 14th synod of the Diocese at our Saviour’s Anglican church , Okurode- Urhobo, Warri, Delta state with the theme ,: ” Spiritual wilderness , God’s way to draw our attention”.

His Lordship Ide on State of the Nation said it was disheartening that some Nigerians had found it difficult to congratulate the President Elect because of allegations of rigging that characterized the presidential poll, adding that the onus was now on the judiciary to tell Nigerians ” who the winner of the election was if there was actually a winner and where there was no clear winner order for a rerun as the case may be .”

The Bishop in his charge further enjoined the Delta state Governor Elect Sheriff Oborevwori to hit the ground running from May 29 on issues of urban renewal and restoration of oil rich Warri to a proper city status, stressing that a proper drainage system, roundabout and flyovers be constructed at the PTI , Jakpa , Enerhen junctions and Hausa quarters to ease traffic.

” It is not in dispute that Warri is the commercial capital of Delta state hence it is expedient that the city experiences urban renewal and restoration to proper city status.

“A roundabout in Hausa quarters with tarred roads linking Essi layout, Igbudu market and Bazunu road, connecting Lower Erejuwa should be constructed ‘.

He further called for upgrade of the Osubi airport , adding also that security agencies should do more to redress challenges of insecurity in Warri and environs.
