The Executive Secretary, Osun State Agency for the Control of HIV/AIDS (O’SACA), Dr Olusegun Daramola has said that a skitmaker, known as Official Kay Prank on TikTok is now in Police custody for investigation into a video he shared on his TikTok page.

Affairs TV reports that In the said video, while being interviewed by the skitmaker, an unidentified young lady had claimed to be a victim of HIV/AIDS and vowed to infect as many people as possible.

Daramola however noted that upon seeing the video, O’SACA wrote a petition to the Police request for an investigation into the video who has now been referred to as a prank.

Checks by Affairs TV revealed the said video has now been deleted on the page of the skitmaker.

The statement reads, “This is to inform the general public about the effort of the Osun State Agency for the Control of HIV/AIDS (O’SACA) to prevent misinformation on HIV response in the state.

“Recall that a video of a self-acclaimed HIV-positive lady went viral on social media last week. In the video, the lady in question was seen being interviewed by a man who acted like a journalist, and the interviewee (the lady) said she has infected a lot of men in Osogbo. She threatened to do much more.

“Upon sighting this video on different social media platforms and as a responsive and responsible agency of government saddled with the responsibility of controlling the spread of HIV/AIDS in Osun State, we wrote a petition to the Police about the individuals who are behind the panic video which turned out to be a prank.

“As we speak, the individuals involved are currently with the Police for further investigation.

“We will not tolerate any act of irresponsibility capable of undermining the fight and effort of the government against HIV/AIDS in Osun State.

“We call on all the skitmakers and social media influencers to seek appropriate information about any subject matter, more importantly HIV/AIDS before publishing their works.

“We urge the general public to always make clarification about videos and messages before circulating them. Our office is open to all forms of complaints about HIV and its control in Osun State.”
