A shocking incident occurred at Kugbo Mechanic in Abuja on Thursday, resulting in the tragic death of an automobile electrician.

The FCT Police Command has arrested the suspect, a military personnel, who allegedly stabbed the mechanic to death.According to police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh, the incident took place on June 20th, 2024, at around 4 pm.

Four individuals, including Tijani Uzairu, had brought a vehicle to the mechanic for repairs when an argument broke out between them and the mechanic.

During the altercation, Chukwu Chukwudi allegedly used a dagger to stab the mechanic in the neck.

Following a complaint from an eyewitness, police operatives from Karu Division rushed to the scene and arrested Tijani Uzairu, one of the suspects.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical professionals.

FCT Commissioner of Police CP Benneth Igweh has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident and advised the public to avoid violent behavior.

He warned that such actions can have severe and regrettable consequences.

With the suspect in custody and order restored, the police are working to bring justice to the deceased’s family and loved ones.
