In a shocking and mysterious turn of events, a middle-aged man, Eric, and his unidentified girlfriend were found dead at an apartment in the Ayeyemi area of Ondo town, Ondo State.
The tragic discovery was made on Thursday, and an investigation has since been launched to determine the cause of their deaths.
According to reports, the couple was found in a compromising position, suggesting that they were engaged in intimate activities before their deaths.
Despite being separated by a doctor, they had both died.
A source close to the investigation claimed that the couple may have been electrocuted during their sexual encounter.
The source alleged that the generator on the premises was running and a phone was charging on a socket near the bed, which could have led to their electrocution.
The relatives of the deceased discovered the bodies when they failed to respond to phone calls and went to check on them.
They broke down the door to enter and found the pair dead.
When contacted, Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of death.
She clarified that while the couple was known to each other’s relatives, they were not physically stuck together at the time of their deaths.
The police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist in their investigation.
