A 27-year-old man named Jordan Talley, hailing from Georgia in the United States, has been arrested for assaulting his girlfriend and causing the death of a man who intervened during the altercation.
As reported by Fox News, Talley is facing charges of manslaughter and domestic battery following the incident, which occurred on March 31 in downtown Orlando.
According to Orange County deputies, surveillance footage captured Talley hitting a woman in front of a law office near the intersection of Robinson Street and Magnolia Avenue.
Allegedly, he violently pulled her by the hair and forcefully threw her to the ground.
Donald Storie, aged 64, who was walking nearby with his family, including his wife, daughter, and her fiancé, heard the woman’s cries for help and approached the couple.
Talley then punched him.Storie tragically passed away on April 23 after being taken off life support.
Further surveillance footage revealed Talley and his girlfriend entering a car, which detectives traced back to Talley’s residence in Georgia.
He was subsequently apprehended by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.During interrogation, Talley admitted to punching Storie, claiming he did so out of concern for his girlfriend’s safety.
