Father defiles 12-year-old daughter in Ogun

Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested 41-year-old Ibrahim Aliu in Papa Olosun, Oja Odan in the Yewa North Local Government Area of the state for allegedly defiling his 12-year-old daughter (name withheld).

Aliu was arrested on Thursday after his estranged wife, Temitope Egbebi, lodged a complaint against him at the Oja Odan Divisional Police Office.

Egbebi alleged that Aliu had carnal knowledge of the victim every time she visited him for the holidays.

She told the police that she made this discovery after taking the girl to the State Hospital, Ilaro for examination and treatment of discharges from her private part.

The spokesperson for the state police command, SP Omolola Odutola, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

Odutola said, “On Thursday at about 1410hrs one Egbebi Temitope “f” of Papa Olosun area of Oja-Odan reported an immoral behaviour of her estranged husband, one Aliu Ibrahim “m” 41 years old of the same Papa Olosun area of Oja-Odan. He was discovered to have been having unlawful carnal knowledge of their 12-year-old daughter.

“He defiled her since about two years ago each time the innocent girl went to spend the holiday with him.

The sexual assault was discovered when she took the girl to the State Hospital, Ilaro for examination and treatment over untreated vaginal discharge that has been occurring in the little child’s reproductive organ for an unknown period.”

Odutola said that on account of the allegations, Aliu was arrested and he confessed to the crime during interrogation.

She said that the suspect would soon be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and possible prosecution.
