Okoloba Community Leaders Intercept Boat Loaded with Looted Materials on River Forcados

Leaders of the Okoloba community in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State intercepted a local engine boat loaded with looted materials on the River Forcados on Tuesday.

The materials were reportedly purchased from the razed Okuama community in Ughelli South Local Government Area.

Mr. Clement Koki, Chairman of the Okoloba community, led the interception effort after receiving information about the planned transaction.

“We received information earlier in the day that people from Okuama were planning to sell properties from their community,” he said. “Around 10:00 pm, a large local engine boat coming from the Okuagbe community axis in Ughelli South Local Government Area passed through our community towards Okuama. We prepared and waited patiently for its return.”
