Tradition Meets Tomorrow: Female Comrades to Host Vibrant Cultural Grand Finale in Ibadan

In a bold celebration of identity, sisterhood, and cultural pride, the Association of Female Comrades is set to light up Ibadan with the grand finale of the Cultural Celebration Initiative (CCI) Southwest 1.0 Edition, a vibrant event uniting women across the Southwest in the name of heritage and unity.

Organized by the Office of the National Vice President, the cultural showcase takes place on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria (FRIN) International Conference Hall, Jericho Hill, Ibadan.

With the theme, “Balancing Tradition and Modernity: Preserving Our Culture,” the celebration promises to be a rich tapestry of music, dance, food, storytelling, and dialogue — all designed to promote cultural preservation in a modern world.

Participants from Osun, Ondo, Lagos, Ogun, and Ekiti will converge for a day filled with cultural performances, traditional displays, and thought-provoking conversations. Attendees will enjoy:

A keynote lecture, “Preserving Our Culture in a Modern World,” delivered by respected thought leaders and cultural advocates.

Captivating performances featuring indigenous dances, music, and art from the Southwest.

A taste of tradition through an array of local delicacies.

Cultural chants and songs to stir pride and reflection.

Gift presentations as tokens of appreciation to participants and supporters.

“This grand finale isn’t just an event; it’s a movement,” said the National Vice President. “It’s about empowering women as custodians of culture and building a united front to safeguard our heritage for generations to come.”

All attendees are encouraged to wear traditional attire, reinforcing the celebration’s focus on cultural identity and pride.

Female comrades, regional coordinators, cultural enthusiasts, and dignitaries are invited to join this powerful gathering of voices, stories, and traditions. Whether as a participant, supporter, or guest, your presence helps amplify the message: our culture matters, and women are at the heart of its preservation.
